After finding a decent book that i couldn't put down and read in an entire day and then rushed out to buy all the others from the saga, i was a bit indecisive of whether to see the film at all. Robert played a semi convincing Edward, but he didn't fit him completely. The character in the book, was a lot more smug, which, if transfered to the film, would have set the scene nicely for the remainding films. Kristen however, was not Bella to me. In the books, Bella is needy, clingy, constantly needing to be protected, almost childlike in the way Edward holds her and looks after her, completely innocent and lets emotion slip through with almost everything she says, even when she doesn't mean to, yet in the film, we get hard faced Kristen, a girl who wouldn't need protecting in any situation, a girl with no emotion. Bad choice, in my opinion. Jacob, also did not fit the expectations. And where was the story about the vampires and the wolves? Completely missed out, so hard to set the scene for the third book. The rest of the cast, fair enough, they fit completely. The editing was not great, either. The director changed half the settings for the scene with no reason to do so, why bother? All in all, i expected low expectations and walked away disappointed still. Looking forward to see how Catherine manages to fit everything into new moon, when she's made it seriously hard for herself by missing all the important bits out.
For one thing, why miss out all of the characters flaws when they basically set the story? Why miss out the most important line of the book "ready for the twilight of your life" the whole point in that being in the book was to make a point of why it was called twilight, but no, got missed out for no apparent reason, what's another 10 seconds added to 1 hour 53 mins? Why couldn't they go with the whole wardrobe settings when they were obviously so for the main question why mix around the scenes and settings so it made no sense whatsoever? Slightly pointless film, if you ask me. Directors say, how can you make a film from a book without missing parts out? The answer is, just don't.

However, the cullen's family, did meet my imagination. Especially, Alice. She is suitable for the role and act like what has been depicted in the novel. The only thing, i think is decent from this movie ( except for, the handsome and gorgeous Taylor. Sorry, for being biased haha )
Overall, i just concentrate on the movie for 30 first minute then i give up and wish i can walk away from the theater. Sadly, i can't for the sake of my best friend ( and for the sake of the money i spent for watching this crap. At least, i can watch how far this movie will ruin the novel series. br> I definitely won't watch another adaptation for this novel series. Not, even for the sake of my best friend (gosh, she still gives a quite good score for this movie. Only God knows why.
